Unmasking a Killer
Creative Director
Developed the visual branding and graphic package for a documentary TV series over 10 years in the making, which delves into the investigation, case files, and psychological profile of the Golden State Killer — one of the most prolific uncaught rapists and serial killers in U.S. history. The series covers 12 murders, 45 sexual assaults, and over 120 residential burglaries committed between 1976 and 1986 across California, from Sacramento to Orange County.
Project scope included title animation, map design, lower thirds, and a comprehensive on-screen graphics system. The concept was designed to set a serious and investigative tone for the show, drawing inspiration from the way the criminal operated — breaking windows, scattered newspaper headlines, and police investigation walls filled with documents and evidence.
